Te Rūnanga o Te Rarawa is the organisational representation of the Te Rarawa iwi. As an iwi, the Rūnanga represent almost 17,000 registered constituents who affiliate to one or more of 23 maraes. Te Rūnanga o Te Rarawa is 33 years old, beginning as a charitable trust and settled in 2015 establishing new institutional arrangements as a Post Settlement Governance Entity.

Te Waka Pupuri Pūtea Group is one of the principal subsidiary entities of Te Rūnanga o Te Rarawa, tasked with the objective of holding, protecting and growing the commercial asset base of 90M+.  The Group operates a 4 POU investment model and the asset base comprises primarily Forestry, Farming, Fishing, Property, Horticulture and Financial assets.

We are seeking candidates with strong governance and financial acumen to complement the existing board membership and who potentially also contribute to the Rūnanga Audit and Risk Committee.

A CA qualification would therefore be desirable.

The Director Appointment will duly be made by the Rūnanga Trustees.
